The final show at Bridal Market Week was a picturesque production where Oscar de la Renta wedding dresses were unveiled against a backdrop of cherry blossoms. In addition to his signature bridal offerings like dramatic ruffled ballgowns, romantic Chantilly lace sheaths, and cosmopolitan trumpet silhouettes, the spring 2012 collection had some whimsical surprises that reminds me of a fun-loving young girl daydreaming about her ideal bedroom. Billowing tulle, pastel pink and baby blue hues, and a lily of the valley motif are just some of the unexpected details that add a carefree touch to these gorgeous wedding gowns.
