Mark Zuckerberg marries college sweetheart Priscilla Chan

The wedding came as a surprise even from guests. A day after his social media site went public, Facebook co-founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg married his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan of nine years on Saturday, May 19. The pair met at a party put on by his fraternity in 2003 at Harvard University.
I found out about the wedding date when a tweet from Reuter announced that Zuckerberg updated his status to “married”. The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg’s backyard before fewer than 100 guests, who all thought they were there to celebrate Chan’s graduation from her medical degree on Monday from the University of California, San Francisco’s School of Medicine.

In Mark Zuckerberg’s facebook page it shows “Mark added a life event to May 19, 2012 on his timeline: Married Priscilla Chan,” the page’s activity feed said.
Chan also added a Life event to her Facebook page around 9 p.m. (EST) writting: “Married Mark Zuckerberg.”
But of course, what better way to announce one’s status.
A source authorized by the couple to speak said Zuckerberg designed the ruby ring that he designed himself.
Their wedding at Mark’s own backyard is so simple. Their photograph shows them against a backdrop of plants and small lights on a string.
