Jenny Yoo Bridal Alternatives Collection

I mentioned before that I prefer simple, unembellished wedding gowns over their bejeweled counterparts. In fact, I’m surprised that I rarely ever see them at bridal fairs; I’d imagine that simple wedding dresses would sell more because they allow a bride to customize her wedding day look. In any case, I wish Jenny Yoo’s latest collection were available here! Bridal Alternatives is her fresh, minimalist approach to wedding dress design – each elegant dress is pared down to the bare essentials so it can serve as a clean base for personal touches. The lack of beads, sequins, and other embellishments don’t make these dresses any less romantic and dreamy; in fact, it’s the very lack of detail that makes these dresses so timeless and elegant. Check out my favorites under the cut!

This breezy wedding dress features a v-neck criss-cross bodice with side ruching. This style is very flattering, especially on petite brides, because the v-neck and slim A-line skirt creates the illusion of height.

I just saw Clash of the Titans recently and this asymmetric crinkle chiffon dress looks like something a Greek goddess would wear. It’s a gorgeous bohemian wedding dress that would look lovely in a garden setting.

Another flattering wedding dress for petite brides. The deep sweetheart neckline elongates while the empire waist hides any unwanted tummy bulges. I’d definitely wear this, if I were getting married!

Curvy brides should not pass up this strapless dress. The soft tulip detail on the A-line skirt flattens large tummies.

Tall and skinny brides will look curvier in this soft scoop strapless dress. A bias flounce on the skirt hugs your figure and creates a subtle mermaid silhouette.
