Irish Romance: Patrick Casey’s 2013 Bridal Collection
I’m completely smitten by the 2013 collection of award-winning Irish designer Patrick Casey. A newcomer in the bridal industry, his exceptional manipulation of silk and beautiful, high-quality craftsmanship grabbed the attention of brides and bridal magazines in Ireland and beyond. His 2013 collection is derived from a variety of inspirations that include architecture and contemporary art, which can be seen in the sumptuous detailing of the embroidered backs and extended tulle trains. But it seems to me that nature is also his greatest muse. Many of the designs reflect the beauty of spring by including appliqued flowers handmade from organza, chiffon, and georgette. Other gowns feature hand-embroidered blossoms and delicate lace flowers. Patrick Casey’s work has been said to be “even more exquisite and luxurious, going all out on quality and sumptuous detail.” I couldn’t agree more!
