Joel Bautista began his designing career while he was still in med school, not knowing that over a decade later he would become one of the country’s most sought-after wedding couturiers. Throughout that period, his unique creations for locals, expatriates, and celebrities carved himself a name in the local fashion industry. Brides especially love the intricate beadwork and detailed craftmanship of his wedding gowns. I saw some of Joel Bautista’s work and I’m not impress with it, his gowns are so not elegant and most of it looks cheap. I have nothing against the designer but I would recommend other more prominent designers.
I think the first comment was more personal rather than the professional works of the designer. Such a pathetic comment. This accusation has yet to be proved. Some comments should be made on its rightful avenue.
Miss Lyka’s comment is very subjective. Gives me the feeling that she is not a bride in the making. Or maybe she has inquired and she cannot afford the price of Joel Bautista and started to make this sour comment. This will make me curious about this designer and will do my inquiry. I have seen his sites though which needs to be updated though. His works are good. I like it. Will inquire further and check on myself with this comments.
Finally met with Mr. Joel Bautista. I scheduled to meet him for my wedding late this year. What can I say, very articulate, straight forward , pleasant and very accommodating. I never expected a close to four hour meeting just for an inquiry. Testimonies of his works are all over his shop and they all looked beautiful and elegant. Brides of all sizes are showcased and I should say all brides are beautiful on their wedding days.
After showing me actual works of his wedding gowns in progress, I am convinced that he will be the designer for my wedding. I have inquired and met other designers and his price is very competitive. Not cheap but not too pricey. I think he is just right. He did not design for me right away , it was more of an overview of what I would be experiencing from him the moment we commence with my concerns. He said he will create three designs for me based on my idea of my dream wedding gown. I agreed. I agreed when he said that at the end of the day that I should be the one to feel more happy and exciting and contented on the turnout of the gown and that we both had inputs to it. He also mentioned of an “always one of a kind design” for all his wedding clients as he never repeats a wedding gown design detail that he has done in the past. Wow! I thought that was really value for money and leaves us to the word “customized”. I would just trust him on that. Will definitely go back to him to confirm. I thought just from his words that integrity is his virtue. Now I really realize how comments can be so opinionated and unfair from others who’s got nothing nice to say and thinks that they know a lot about the trade in a professional’s specialty.
