The wedding veil that you choose depends on how formal your wedding will be and your overall look - the veil should complement your wedding gown, not overpower it. The fingertip veil is the most versatile veil style. Falling all the way down to your fingertips when your arms hang naturally, this veil goes with most types of dresses, from ball gowns to column slips.
The elbow veil is a light veil that reaches your elbows and is perfect for casual weddings for providing the beauty of a veil without detracting attention from you or your dress.
The waltz veil reaches your ankles and looks great on long dresses with no trains.
The cathedral veil is the most formal among the wedding veils; it extends about three and a half yards away from the headpiece and is worn with a cathedral-length train. Only choose the cathedral veil if your gown is intricate enough to pull off this look.
