wedding shoes

While you’re shopping for the perfect pair of wedding shoes, remember that there are other factors to consider besides style. Simply buying the right pair of shoes is enough to create a hassle-free wedding day since you’ll be walking from guest to guest without being bothered by aching feet.

Comfort is of course the number one thing you should look in bridal shoes. The phrase “to die for” will take a literal meaning after standing up in extremely uncomfortable shoes for hours. Comfy bridal shoes don’t need to look plain or boring; the trick is to find shoes with low heels, or flat sandals. If you insist on choosing fashion over comfort, though, consider getting to buy two pairs for the wedding; one fashionable pair for the ceremony and flats for the reception.

The height of your heel will affect your gown’s length. If you have a floor-length gown, shoe height will determine whether the hem will fall on, at, or above the floor. When shopping for a wedding gown, try different heel heights along with it. Buy your wedding shoes before the final fitting so you can try them on with the dress and so the latter can be altered according to your heel’s height.

A balanced look is also important. If your dress is elaborate and heavily embellished, choose simple wedding shoes; on the other hand, ornate shoes will look great on a simple wedding dress. Choosing the same accents for your jewelry, purse, and other accessories will also help create a balanced look.

Finally, get very stable shoes for outdoor weddings since outdoor sites could trip you. Get satin flats, ballerina shoes, sandal bride shoes, or consider going barefoot.
