Wedding Lingerie

Finding the right bra to wear on the wedding day can be tricky for most women because this is usually outside the realm of their knowledge about lingerie. Generally speaking, we know what size to wear and what style suits our tastes. But remember that you always have to take the dress style into consideration before choosing a bra. This is what makes bra shopping tricky and overwhelming – wedding dresses come in all sorts of necklines and low back styles. Here’s a quick guide on what bra style might work for your wedding dress.
Bustiers
A bustier is a one-piece lingerie that has flexible boning to give your body its desired shape. The long of the bodice varies and can go anywhere from the bust to between the hips and ribcage. Bustiers also come in two styles – seamless and non-seamless. Generally speaking, bustiers are ideal for low-back, strapless dresses or for full-bust women since the structure and boning will give them the much-needed support.
Strapless bra
We’ve seen the bloopers and embarrassing moments of brides accidentally exposing her entire chest as she throws her bouquet into the air. A good strapless bra will prevent that from happening to you because it should move with you, not your dress. While there are many different kinds of strapless bras out there, what you should be looking for is one with a silicone lining at the bottom and top of the band.
Covertible bra
Some dress types are too complex for traditional bras to work with. Convertible bras are the most versatile bras because they have straps that you can detach at the front and back band. You can also adjust the strap itself according to the dress style you have. Get a convertible bra if your wedding gown has an asymmetric sleeve or a halter neckline.
