Star Trek Wedding Theme
If you and your fiancee are genuine Star Trek buffs, you probably won’t pass up the opportunity to hold a Star Trek themed wedding. The first thing you want to consider when planning a Star Trek wedding is the location. For that, you can get married at the very bridge of the USS Enterprise, with Ferengi and Klingon in attendance! The Las Vegas Hilton is the only hotel in the world with their own Star Trek chapel based on the Next Generation series. The ceremony you’ll be having is more than just an exchange of vows; it’s an entire interactive experience with the USS Enterprise crew, followed by a dramatic reception at Quark’s Bar and Restaurant.
To make it easier for the bride and groom to plan their Star Trek wedding, there are several Star Trek Las Vegas wedding packages options to select from. The Captain’s Wedding package includes photography, a floral bouquet, intergalactic music, as well as the option to select two of your favorite Star Trek characters to attend your wedding. You also receive up to 15 tickets to the Borg Invasion 4D attraction and Klingon Encounter.
The Admiral’s Wedding package also includes the same provisions as the Captain’s Wedding Package, except you will receive 30 tickets to the Klingon Encounter and Borg Invasion 4D Attraction. You also have the option to select four Star Trek characters instead of two. This wedding package also includes a wedding certificate, a wedding video, plus a brass plaque with your names and wedding date will be displayed at Quark’s Bar and Restaurant.
Another popular option is the Starfleet Wedding and Vow Renewal. Here, you have the unusual honor of having your wedding officiated by a Starfleet officer. One character of your choice will also attend your wedding. Also included are tickets to the Klingon Encounter, Born Invasion 4D attraction, and five tickets to the History of the Future Museum. However, this package is limited to only five guests, which shouldn’t be a problem for intimate weddings. A similar option is the Junior Officer’s Wedding. It will also be officiated by a Starfleet officer and will be accompanied by intergalactic wedding music.
As for what to wear to a Star Trek wedding – many brides show up at the bridge of the USS Enterprise in a regular white wedding dress. But for brides who really want to get into the theme, they can wear a Star Trek wedding dress too. Jadzia Dax’s scarlet wedding dress from You Are Cordially Invited is available in costume stores; so are Keiko O’Brien’s wedding dress and Kamala’s white and gold wedding gown. Ask your local costume rental or online specialty store if they have Star Trek wedding dresses for rent. Or, you could contact a couturier and have one made for yourself!
