Among all the dresses at the Golden Globe red carpet, it was Dianna Agron’s Reem Acra dress that struck me the most. It was so beautiful in its simplicity, it made me want to check out the rest of Reem Acra’s wedding dresses. I was not disappointed; her spring/summer collection is just as gorgeous, not to mention that it has one of the broadest selections I’ve ever seen. There are Greek goddess dresses in billowy chiffon, old Hollywood glam dresses with ornate beading, unadorned yet beautifully structured ballgown dresses, and dresses following key 2010 trends (ruffles, tiers, high-low hemlines). Thankfully, there’s no such rule that says wedding dresses have to be all white. This fall, bridal designers are going crazy over classic silhouettes with gold accents, and wedding dresses that shimmer and glitter. If you’re getting married over the next two months, a wedding dress with a touch of gold is right for the season. Here are several fall 2009 wedding dresses that follow the gold-embellished trend.

This strapless A-line gown by Alfred Angelo is made of taffeta and features a ruffle crumb catcher detail on the bust. You can’t see it from this angle, but the dress is also adorned with crystal beads, sequins, and rhinestones so that its lucky wearer may shine on the most important night of her life.
