j crew fall 2010 wedding dress

In contrast to their fairly minimalist spring 2010 collection, J Crew’s fall 2010 wedding dresses seem to be made with the whimsical, romantic bride in mind. This collection is characterized by lace and textured chiffon, but brides who prefer dresses with zero frills will also spot a couple of simple wedding dresses.

Old Hollywood Glam on the 2010 Catwalk

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Styles come and go, but if there’s a look that can withstand the fickle nature of designers and consumers, it’s old Hollywood glam. I don’t know what it is about the look of old Hollywood vixens that endures to this day. Maybe it’s their restrained sexuality? The quiet mystique? Their elegant sense of style? Fall 2010 Trend: Breezy Ballgowns

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Breezy silhouettes are something you’d expect from a spring collection, but a number of designers used lighter silks like chiffon in place of silks and brocades on the Fall 2010 runway. Monday, January 4th, 2010

I’ve been posting bridal trends as they appeared on the catwalks last year, but for those of you who don’t feel like braving the archives of this blog, I’ve made a list of my five favorite wedding fashion trends for 2010. There’s no way you can incorporate all of these trends into one wedding dress without looking like a fashion disaster, but some of them complement each other, such as the colored wedding dress trend and floral appliques from the nature-inspired wedding dress trend. I’m sure you’re all very much decided on your tastes to know which of these trends you’d like to use for your big day.

Nature-inspired wedding dresses

This trend is all about wearing flowers on your dress instead of carrying a bouquet on your hand. Nature-inspired wedding dresses of spring 2010 will feature floral appliques or floral fabric underlays for a touch of romance and old world elegance.
