Official Wedding Photo of Prince William and Kate Middleton

Let’s start this post-Royal Wedding Sunday with the official wedding photo of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The portraits were taken at the throne room of Buckingham Palace by Hugo Burnand shortly after the bride and groom arrived from the Westminster Abbey ceremony. From their easy smiles and the warm glow of their faces, you can tell that they were still in a celebratory mood.

Mr. Burnand has been the Royal family’s official photographer for important occasions during the last several years, including Prince Charles’s wedding to Camilla and his 60th birthday. He has also taken portraits of Prince William and Harry, as well as the Queen on different occasions. The family photo: Front row left to right is Grace van Cutsem, Eliza Lopes, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Queen, Margarita Armstrong-Jones, Louise Windsor, William Lowther-Pinkerton. Back Row left to right is Tom Pettifer, Camilla, Charles, Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate, Michael Middleton, Carole Middleton, James Middleton and Philippa Middleton

The children were lured in by promises of sweets and jellybeans, and the photographer only had several seconds to shoot the photo before the little bridal party lost interest. I think it came out quite beautifully; I love the spontaneous and natural feel of their poses. Clockwise from the bottom right are the Hon. Margarita Armstrong-Jones, Miss Eliza Lopes, Miss Grace van Cutsem, Lady Louise Windsor, Master Tom Pettifer, Master William Lowther-Pinkerton
