There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to what shoes to wear on your wedding day. Generally, brides prefer wearing formal satin shoes that come in the same shade of white as their wedding dress, like the one above. But who says that white is the only color your wedding shoes can come in? Don’t be afraid to make a bold statement by wearing a splash of color or a flashy accent on your feet!

These white satin pumps by Oscar de la Renta is part of his wedding collection and features a diamond-encrusted accent. No wonder this beautiful pair costs a whopping $695! But you don’t have to shell out that much money to give your white wedding shoes a little more character. Just get two jeweled brooches - they don’t have to be made out of real diamonds - and pin one on the strap of each shoe.

I’m not sure Kate Spade meant for these pink and purple watercolor satin heels to be used during weddings, but does it matter? These shoes would look perfect on a bride carrying a matching pink and purple rose bouquet.

The faded detail of these pink peep-toe pumps by Vince Camuto is ideal for brides who want to wear a little color while maintaining a more conservative, traditional look.

And last but not the least, my favorite - suede polka-dotted shoes with a red patent leather strap by Marc Jacobs. The retro elements on these shoes make them go best with a lacy vintage wedding gown or a bohemian wedding dress. And the best part is that you can wear them with all sorts of dresses way after your wedding!
