Vera Wang Fall 2010 Bridal Collection
Vera Wang’s fall 2010 bridal collection is features layers and layers of tulle, large cloud-like ruffles (including a little bit of the vertical ruffles trend), and oversized bows. You can’t mistake these dresses for anything but a Vera Wang creation because no other wedding designer I know can make tulle look so soft and fluffy.

Still sticking to her usual ethereal style, Vera Wang does introduce one new trend for fall 2010: black accents on white wedding dresses, usually a bow around the waist or the straps of the dress. It looks to me like a modern variant of the black lace wedding gowns popularized by Audrey Hepburn in the movie Sabrina.

Normally, a large black bow such as this one would look too aggressive to be on a wedding dress, but the soft quality of the fabric makes it look chic and feminine.

If you think the belted bows make you look too much like a present, you can still incorporate this trend onto your wedding dress by opting for black straps.

This dress reminds me of Vera Wang’s spring 2010 collection. The only thing that differentiates it is the color used; the spring 2010 wedding dresses have lots of pinks and pastel colors, while this one is in a muted beige.

There’s even an all-black wedding dress in her fall 2010 collection, although I don’t imagine it’d be very popular among brides. I can see this being worn by one of the guests, though.
