Those of you who are newly engaged or are planning a wedding in 2009 are probably checking out what wedding dress styles are going to be in next season. Some of my favorite wedding dresses are from J. Crew’s wedding collection. J. Crew may be more known for their suburban preppy clothes than their wedding dresses, but you’d be surprised at how beautiful and elegant the dresses in their wedding collection are. Here’s what you can expect from J. Crew in spring 2009:

This clean, column-style jeweled cady gown is made out of silk cotton and features a dramatic “necklace” made out of hand-sewn rhinestones and mirrored crystals. $1,295.

The flowing fabric and understated look of the berry-trim Nathalie gown is perfect for an informal beach wedding. $895.

From afar, the flower dress looks more like a polka-dotted dress – a look that I love on women.

The floor-length, empire-cut Esme Gown is perhaps the most elegant in the Spring collection. The shimmery satin bodice is a beautiful contrast with the satin-backed crepe skirt. $1,200.

The metallic-rose Madison gown is made out of rich jacquard fabric, which refracts light as a subtle silver shimmer and makes its wearer glow like a star. You won’t find a dress like this anywhere else because the jacquard fabric was woven exclusively for J. Crew. $1,500.

The strapless silk Vionette Gown is a luxurious blend of silk and wool threads you can only find in couture fashion. It has five geometrical seams that radiate outward to give you a dramatic look. $995.

The bow-tie dress is a graceful wedding dress made out of the softest silk tricotine. The scooped neckline is accented by pleated chiffon and gives way to a trumpet skirt that flatters all body types. $795

Fall in love at first sight with the glamorous Kate gown. Made out of champagne-colored, lightweight silk taffeta, the Kate gown’s fitted bodice is accented with a rosette and gives way to a striking A-line skirt. $895
