Fall 2010 Trend: Black and White Accents
As it turns out, Vera Wang is not the only designer to incorporate the black accents into her fall 2010 collection. Catwalks everywhere saw a lot of black on white accents or white on black accents in a number of bridal collection, particularly in the work of Jenny Packham and Jenny Lee. Check out my favorite designs from their collections for tips on how to incorporate the black and white accents trend onto your wedding dress.

If you want to wear an all-white wedding dress down the aisle, you can still follow the black on white trend through your accessories. Consider a large statement belt, chunky black accessories, or black gloves made of velvet or lace. Lacy fingerless black gloves would look really great against the stark whiteness of a wedding dress.

A lacy black bolero is also a great compromise for trendy brides who like this trend yet want a traditional white wedding dress.

Typically, the black accent trend involves juxtaposing light and dark shades through the dress’s straps, hemline, or embellishments.

Finally, this U-neck knee-length dress by Jenny Packham is decidedly Audrey Hepburn, but I don’t think a lot of Filipina brides would go crazy over a predominantly black dress. In any case, a dress in this style is definitely something you can wear a chic wedding guest.
