Oh my God, I don’t believe it – British songstress Lily Allen married her fiance Sam Cooper last weekend at a star-studded, rustic ceremony in Gloucester last weekend. The bride looked absolutely radiant as she stepped out the car and walked into the church accompanied by her father, Keith Allen. Early rumors said that Lily Allen’s wedding dress would be a Chanel creation designed by Karl Lagerfeld, but she ended up with a lace wedding dress by French designer Delphine Manivet instead. Lily’s selection reinforces the all-lace trend that originates from Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, and I’m pretty sure this isn’t the last lace wedding gown we’ll be seeing on celebrities and other brides.

Lily Allen wore an altered version of Delphine Manivet’s Raphael gown, the only major change being the dress’s bust. The gown was handmade in Paris by a team of skilled of ataliers. Yards and yards of intricate Calais lace, jersey, satin, tulle, and natural silk taffetas went into the making of this beautiful piece.

The gown was also altered to accommodate Lily’s growing abdomen. After the ceremony, her husband announced that the blushing bride is two months pregnant.

My favorite part of her wedding ensemble has to be her lace veil, which is festooned at the side with large white flowers a la Princess Leia.

Although I think the silhouette of the dress makes her look a little large in the middle, I love how Lily looks in this dress and I can tell that she does too! She can’t seem to stop smiling in all of her wedding photos.
