Anne Hathaway’s Valentino Wedding Dress: Get the Look!

When it was revealed that Anne Hathaway’s wedding dress will be designed by Valentino, all I could do was wait impatiently until the big reveal. Valentino retired from his fashion label in 2008, but he came out of it just to pay tribute to one of his greatest muses on her wedding day. He once said that Anne Hathaway was like his daughter, and knowing this made it all the more exciting to see finally see the dress up close. Well, as close as you can get, anyway.
Anne Hathaway married actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman at a beautiful sunset ceremony in Big Sur, California. From what I can tell from the blurry camera-phone photos, Anne Hathaway’s wedding gown features an elegant tulle off-shoulder neckline and a light layered skirt with some hints of brocade. (Want to bet that off-shoulder gowns are going to be the next big thing in wedding dresses?) While not all of us are lucky enough to walk down the aisle with a bespoke gown from Valentino himself, we can still get the look with these similar gowns:

This mermaid gown from Monique Lhuillier’s spring 2013 collection features an off-shoulder illusion neckline similar to Anne’s gown.

A breezy dress from Badgley Mischka is a toned-down version of the Valentino gown with its simple silhouette and minimal embellishments.

This gown from Love Yu is my favorite variation of Anne’s gown, with its wispy skirt and soft neckline.

Though not particularly outdoor-friendly, this ornate lace dress from Rivini echoes the glamour of a Valentino gown.
