Now brides who have more cash to spare can dress their entire bridal party in Monique Lhuillier! The Filipina fashion designer has just launched a bridesmaids collection. Gray’s Anatomy Wedding Style

Monday, May 18th, 2009

I haven’t been following Gray’s Anatomy in a while, so when I found out who just got married to whom in the 100th and final episode, my jaw completely dropped. So if you haven’t been catching up on your Gray’s Anatomy, you might want to skip this entry.

After an emotional turn of events, Izzie Stevens walked down the aisle wearing a sparkling Kenneth Pool ballgown to swap I do’s with Alex under a thick canopy of purple flowers. Aww, what a happy way to end the show! The Kenneth Pool wedding dress, Lana, retails for $7,250 and features intricate vintage and crystal embroidery. Amsale, who designs the Kenneth Pool line of wedding dresses, also designed the beautiful pink ballgown that Izzie wore the night Denny died – which I actually happen to like better than this one.

The show seems to really love Kenneth Pool – even Christina’s mermaid tail wedding dress was a Kenneth Pool dress.

And so was Meredith’s crinkle chiffon bridesmaids dress!

The Vera Wang Maid to Order Collection

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Celebrity wedding dress designer Vera Wang just made it easier for brides and bridesmaids to pick out the perfect bridesmaids’ dress that suits their budget and taste. The Maids Collection is now available on verawangonweddings.com, and what makes it so convenient is that you can order the bridesmaids’ dress of your dreams with just several clicks! Simply select the dress style, the dress color, and size, and you’re good to go.

Dresses from the Maids Collection range from $180 to $250, is available in sizes 2-28, and will take eight weeks for delivery. I think this is the perfect idea for bridesmaids who don’t have time to physically go to a bridal salon and get fitted.

Priscilla of Boston Spring 2010 Wedding Collection

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Classic ballgowns and princess silhouettes define Priscilla of Boston’s spring 2010 wedding collection. The A-line skirts are more fuller than their previous collections and other wedding dresses for the season, but the good thing about this collection is that these dresses will transcend the spring trends and won’t look out of place in a fall wedding. Look under the cut for my favorite picks from Priscilla of Boston’s spring 2010 wedding collection.

A feathered band accents this strapless, empire-cut ballgown. Made out of rich cascading satin, it looks to be fit for a princess.
