Twilight Spoiler Alert: Bella’s Wedding Dress

I’m not the biggest fan of Twilight but I just couldn’t ignore In Style Magazine’s feature on what Bella’s wedding dress would look like. They contacted the biggest names in bridal fashion and asked them to sketch their vision of the Twilight heroine’s wedding dress. Above is Christian Siriano’s sketch which captures the description written in the novel: a vintage-style wedding dress with modern tweaks to the veil and train. Under the cut are my favorite picks among the sketches featured.

Monique Lhuillier reworked a wedding dress from the 1920s and added a mermaid tail, silk sash, and high neck with cap sleeves. I love the lace detailing near the hem and would wear this dress in a heartbeat.

Erin Fetherston’s sketch features a high neck, lace bustier, and puff sleeves. She adds her signature ethereal style with a tulle and lace under layer on the tiered body.

Max Azria created a Victorian-inspired dress with vintage lace detail, full sleeves, peaked shoulders, and a high neck.

Lela Rose’s off-white, handcrafted dress is the most romantic of the bunch. It’s got a simple body that gathers at the back to form a cascading lace bustle.
What would you want Bella to wear for her wedding?

The first dress, which is Christian Siriano’s design, is too modern. The second dress, which is Monique Lhuillier’s design is almost perfect. The only thing that’s not right with that is the sleeves. Bella’s dress is supposed to have long sleeves. The third dress, which is Erin Fetherston’s design, is too old-fashioned.
