Who says wedding gowns have to be expensive? A recent contest at Cheap Chic Weddings.com announces the Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest Winner . The designs will show you that one can make an elegant wedding gown out of toilet paper. I must give hats off to the first prize winner.

Ann’s gorgeous toilet paper wedding gown is obviously the winner. The gown was made with only toilet paper, tape and glue! It is really hard to believe that one can come up with such a gorgeous wedding gown made simply of toilet paper. Her theme was “Gone With the Wind” and Japanese Origami!

Her wedding dress design has been compared to an Oscar de la Renta couture gown. Not only did she design a dress, she also created a fabulous hat to complement her gown.

And the prize money? $1000.00. I bet the whole dress didn’t even cost half that amount. I wonder though if the gown can be actually used in a real wedding setup. What if someone steps on the paper gown? I shudder to think of the consequences.
