Bridal Gown Trend: Corsages

The latest trend to grace the bridal catwalks today are corsages – and no, I’m not talking about the kind that you wear for prom. I’m talking big, colorful, bouquet-size fabric blooms that designers use to show off their green thumbs. These floral fests usually come in contrasting or two-tone hues of organza and silk flourishes. Designers you might want to check out for inspiration are Vera Wang and her cabbage roses and Atelier Aimee’s rosettes – their gowns exude femininity and romance.
If you’d like to use a corsage on your wedding gown, there are two things that you have to remember. First, the bigger the better, and the more colorful the better. Also, the placement of the corsage – cascading down one shoulder, askew at the waist, and even choker style – is what makes the entire look charming and glamorous.
